I once made a giant pair of pliers for my son's birthday, and this customer was so amused by them that he asked me if I could make a giant pen for him. This is it, 4 feet long, created using purple heart, ash and ebony (under the nib). The nib itself is a single growth layer of ash bent over the ebony.
