New Bedford, Massachusetts is the number one fishing port in the United States, in terms of the value of the catch. Sadly, while fishing stock continues to collapse, there are many who expect that the good times will always be with us. This large (40 inch tall) mirror frame is my commentary on the situation, complete with dead cod (reflected in the mirror), scallop dredges, net, beer can, gas can nozzle and broken bottle. It was created on commission and inspired by the customer's concern for the environment.
