Privately owned.

Each surface is carved following the growth layer of the wood from which it was carved. All the ripples are natural formations. The gold leaf and faux painting was applied by New Bedford, Massachusetts artist Robert Duff. This collaboration was accomplished by me first carving the book pieces, then Bob painting the inside surfaces and returning the pieces to me. After I assembled the book and carved the outside, Bob applied the final touches. Bob's work can be see at www.robertduff.com
